Questions but very few answers

To the Journal editor:

A lot of the news lately has been about Ukraine and the assistance the United States is providing.

The other day President Biden stated that everything in his toolbox was being used to assist Ukraine. My question to the president is: If that were true how we can continually add tool (sanctions) to assist Ukraine? After all, the president has said he was already using all tools available.

Another observation is the type of aid we are giving. It appears we are giving Ukraine just enough aid to slow down Russia and ensure maximum casualties and not enough to ensure Ukraine’s victory.

Examples the U.S. standing in the way of Ukraine getting MIG-29s. The limited number if any of longer-range missiles that would allow Ukraine to insure their own no fly zone. Providing Ukraine with missiles designed to take out ships. It was reported, at one time Russia had 24 ships off the coast of Ukraine.

Do you think Ukraine’s failure to take them out is because they lack the will?

It has been reported that Putin only understands strength. My question is, when Putin mentioned tactical nuclear weapons, was it strength or weakness that President Biden showed when he appeared to quiver stating he did not want to start World War III?

It has been stated nuclear weapons stop wars because they assure self annihilation. Did President Biden suggest if Putin used nuclear weapons, it would assure self annihilation or did he suggest Putin would get away with it?

Just wondering.
