Vaccinations handled well

To the Journal editor:

I’m a senior citizen who recently received my first COVID vaccine shot. I received it at Northern Michigan University. I was so impressed by the way the procedure was handled. I was met at the door and I asked to use a wheelchair for support as I proceeded inside.

Not only did I get a wheelchair but also a National Guard gentleman who insisted on pushing me through the various steps to get the shot and the waiting area after. He then set his watch for 15 minutes to come back.

He then pushed me to the checkout area to get my final paperwork and appointment for the last shot. He then proceeded to push me right to my car.

I’m writing this hoping to give these people the praise and a pat on the back. Their professionalism and kindness needs all the praise we can give them.
