Dr. Rao will be missed
To the Journal editor:
The Mining Journal got it right when they prefaced a recent news article “Beloved physician retires from Bell.”
Though our youngest children are in their forties now, and the others beyond that, there is no forgetting their pediatrician and good friend, Dr. C.B. Rao.
He was a calming presence for both parent and patient when he entered the room of a hospitalized child and a healing touch for the less serious scrapes, growing pains and fevers that accompanied their childhood.
We are forever grateful for the wonderful care and compassion of this man who found his way to Upper Michigan to become that beloved physician.
We wish him great happiness in his well deserved retirement years.
