Love that cold weather
To the Journal editor:
My window looks out on the Lower Harbor and south side of the Ore Dock in the city of Marquette. The last few days, the view has been magical.
First, the perfect ice. Then a few brave souls, and a few more.
And finally, hundreds of joyful folks all reveling in the sun, the ice, the community.
Figure skaters twirling. Youngsters playing hockey.Toddlers discovering slippery ice for the first time.
All without political signs or arguments over masks. Just joy in the ice and the community.
Sometimes below zero temperatures can be a blessing.
