To the Journal editor:

It has been a tough year for us all including Camp New Day. We were not able to hold our weeklong summer camp this year, but our board members traveled the U.P. this summer paying visits to all our campers. We provided them each with a “Camper Care Package” and spent some time visiting. We are currently planning more trips to spend a little more time with them.

As with most nonprofits, our finances have been negatively impacted by the pandemic. Several organizations that are facing some of the same funding challenges have still managed to donate to our mission. We would like to recognize and thank them along with a few friends.
