To the Journal editor:

Given the pandemic that has befallen us, Zonta could not hold its traditional Rose Day Luncheon. However, we still wish to honor our recipients by recognizing their good deeds and contributions to our community. Zonta is currently holding virtual meetings until it is safe to meet “live.”

Therefore, we sent our Rose Day honorees a certificate of recognition with laudatory remarks of their good deeds and a virtual yellow rose (Zonta’s official flower)!

Zonta Rose Day recognizes members of our community who strive to advance the economic, political, financial and health status of women.

This year’s Zonta Rose Day honorees are Lori Appleton, Roger Contois, Stacey Rasenen, Chris Wattsson, Jenna Smith and Carla Skaates. Zonta thanks them for their efforts in making Marquette County a better place for women and children.
