Trees missed
To the Journal editor:
It is unfortunate that the trees in the little park on Lakeshore Boulevard had to be destroyed.
Planting those trees was a special project begun by my husband, Bob Moore, and me in 1980. The first two planted were in memory of our son, Brian, followed by the weeping willow to honor a warm helpful clergyman.
As the years went by, more and more were added, each tree honoring a special friend or family member.
To see that empty space is a bitter pill to swallow.
