Leadership lacking

To the Journal editor:

Why, after six months of the coronavirus pandemic in this country, can we not buy a can of disinfectant spray, hand wipes or other essentials we need?

When the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, our country started producing the munitions, equipment and supplies needed to win/end a World War in 4 years. Why can we not do the same now in this situation? Is it because we have to wait for our products to come over on the slow boat from China? And is that because the big businesses are so greedy that they moved the manufacturing to countries with cheap labor? Is it because so many Americans don’t want to work?

I believe that the reason is a serious lack of management/leadership form industry and government.

I implore the people of this country to sober up and take care of business!
