To the Journal editor:

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. PS 111:10. There is much fear over the coronavirus (COVID-19).

This is a worldwide fear and God instructs us in the Bible time and again, fear not and be not afraid, but put your trust and faith in Him. We fear what we do not know because we are human.

The fear of the Lord is reverence and respect for Him. We should respect the giver of life for every breath that we take is a gift from Him. He knows our beginning and our end. Put your fears aside and place your trust in God.

Remember, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Prov 3:5. (KJV)

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Phil 4:6 (NIV)
