8-18 Media writer lauded for column
To the Journal editor:
I am writing to thank and commend Ana Alexander for her well written letter, Step up in Crisis in 8-18 Media, in this past weekend’s Mining Journal.
These are unprecedented times that must be especially confusing to children. They are not allowed to see friends, go to school, or see loved ones that might live near by. Now, in Marquette, parks will be closed. It’s important to understand that all of these restrictions are put in place to keep all of us safe and healthy.
Now, like Ana, I am also confused and worried over how this is all being handled by our president and his administration.
Why did the Trump administration disband the Pandemic Response Team task force established by the Obama Administration that would of prepared our country for this crisis? How come our richest, most powerful country in the world is lacking in much needed supplies for our health care workers? Where are all of the test kits? And, why did our president ignore warnings from top health care medical professionals.
Ana, your letter hit it on the nose! I hope everyone who reads the weekend edition took the time to read your letter.
Again, thank you! Keep asking those questions. Perhaps (write) a letter to Trump himself!
Take care and be safe.
