The Negaunee High School All Sports Booster Club would like to thank everyone who made our recent “$10K giveaway” fundraiser an incredible success. To everyone who donated $10 for a ticket for a chance at winning, thank you. To the many Negaunee High School student-athletes and parent volunteers who helped organize the event and sell raffle tickets throughout our community and beyond, thank you.

Thank you to all the coaches, Negaunee Public Schools Administration and Board of Education for being supportive of our efforts. Special thanks to Scott Soeltner and the Negaunee Elks Lodge #1116 for their loyal support of our student-athletes, and to the 2019 Pioneer Princess Aylee Guenette for doing a great job with the ticket draw.

This fundraiser is a great example of how one small act of generosity can multiply to create something great. Together, all the $10/ticket donations added up a generous $7,500 raised for the Booster Club, which will go back to all athletic teams at NHS. In addition to that profit for the Booster Club, the culmination of the fundraiser was when we gave away 10 – $1,000 checks at Lakeview Gymnasium on Jan. 15. The anticipation of the crowd and seeing the happy faces of the lucky winners made for a fun half-time event. Because of how well the event was received in the community, we are already looking forward to holding another exciting raffle again next year.

The Miners continually win big because of the loyalty and generosity from our community. Thank you! Go Miners!
