To the Journal editor:

On behalf of the men and women of the Marine Corps League Lake Superior Detachment 764, we would like to send a great big thank you to Marquette County.

Thank you to all the local businesses, residents and the veterans population who helped us have another successful Toys For Tots Campaign for 2019. We were able to give toys to over 1,200 children in Marquette County. Collected were over $6,000 in monetary donations (which then purchased toys locally), donations of over 3,727 toys, 1,227 stocking stuffers and 297 books. All the items donated and collected stayed in Marquette County to help those families in need.

How successful we are in our campaign depends on the generosity of Marquette County residents and businesses. Thank you all so very much.
