Donations needed

To the Journal editor:

It is that time of year again, the Marine Corps League Lake Superior Detachment 764 is starting its annual Toys For Tots campaign for Marquette County.

We are volunteer U.S. Marine Corps veterans helping collect new-unwrapped toys or monetary donations for the less fortunate children in Marquette County. All of the donations and toys stay in Marquette County and monetary donations collected are used to purchase toys from local businesses in the county.

How successful our campaign is, is determined by how well the community shows its support. There are over 60 local businesses with Toys For Tots donation boxes doing this now.

We need you. Please help us have a successful campaign and donate now. Or you can go to the Toys For Tots website to donate: www.toysfortots.org. Uur local campaign is running from Oct. 1 to Dec. 20.

Remember the main goal is, toys, kids, Christmas.
