To the Journal editor:
An iconIc photo taken in 1945 shortly after President Franklin D Roosevelt died, shows an African-American Whitehouse Security Guard standing at attention with tears running down his face.
When asked if he knew the president, he replied, “No, but he knew me.”
Fellow readers, ask yourselves this question, “Does this president know me?”
