Boy Scouts say thanks

To the Journal editor:

Hiawathaland BSA Scouts would like to thank the community for supporting fall popcorn sales throughout the Upper Peninsula. Approximately 37% of the sale amount supports the year round activities of the units and 33% goes toward the programs, services, and camp facilities of Bay Lakes Council, including Camp Hiawatha near Chatham.

A special thank you to the following businesses which allowed Scouts to conduct sales at their facility: Konteka (White Pine), Dollar General (Rapid River), Pat’s Foods (Gladstone and Ontonagon), Perkins Store (Perkins), Settler’s Coop (Bruce Crossing), Sav Mor (Gwinn), Wal-Mart (Marquette and Escanaba) Crossroads Mini-Mart, Super One (Iron Mountain, Negaunee and Marquette), Holiday Gas Stations (Escanaba, Harvey and Marquette), Jack’s Fresh Market (Manistique), Tractor Supply (Negaunee), Tadych’s Econo Foods (Marquette), Crossroads Mini-Mart (Sands Township), Crossroad Restaurant (Sands Township), and The Store (Escanaba).

We attempted to list all businesses, if you were not mentioned, our apologies.

Special thank you goes to Advanced Auto in Marquette for supporting the breakout of product at their store with space and employees.
