To the Journal editor:

The city of Marquette currently has several great candidates running for two open seats on the City Commission. I will be voting for candidate Sally Davis on Tuesday.

She has been a homeowner in the city since 1981. Her children are also homeowners in the city. She has long been invested in our dear city and is here to stay. She owned a small business (Campus Pharmacy) for almost 20 years and also worked in grant writing, education and management training. And on top of that, she is (and always has been) an ever-willing volunteer. I actually met her years ago while volunteering for a local charity.

She is tireless, open-minded and thoughtful.And she already has a strong understanding of how local government works so she can immediately put her skills to work for us. We would be lucky to have her represent us on the commission.
