To the Journal editor:

It’s that time of year to start collecting donations for our Adopt-A-Child program. We will be collecting various items for children identified as “most in need,” by teachers, counselors and other professionals in the community. These children typically don’t ask for toys or the “fun” things, but basic necessities that no child should go without. We will be requesting donations such as, jackets, snowpants, shoes, etc.
