UPPCO’s agreement with Chandler Solar Project LLC to install a 125-megawatt solar farm is a big step in the right direction.

Carbon-neutral power generation already pays and renewables will become even more competitive if Congress passes a price on carbon.

Rep. Jack Bergman, R-Watersmeet, should be able to agree that a free market solution to carbon dioxide pollution must be enacted.

For too long the by-product of fossil fuel combustion, CO2, has been allowed to be discharged at no cost. However, everyone on Earth pays the costs of climate change.

It’s time to resolve this market failure by pricing the cost into the product in order to ensure a transition from dirty to clean energy.
