Program has merit
To the Journal editor:
The Martes Artes program of Communitaria Language School is and will be extremely positive for Marquette and its county.
Not only does it continue to improve people’s knowledge of the Spanish language, but it gives a boost to the art of the city and its environs.
And if some of the “projects” may be more along the lines of craft or of fashion, it perhaps proves more about artificial and arbitrary boundaries.
For example, brilliant works have been made, and advances are yet to be made, in the medium of knitting, even in yarn as an art medium.
