To the Journal editor:

A letter to the editor on 12/17/18 claimed that the Bible contained myths. As a student of the Bible, I found that II Timothy 4:3-4 warns us “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God and contains no myths (fables).

Another writer claims the Earth to be about 4.5 billion years old. This is a conservative figure by scientists, thus even humans have birth certificates to establish their age!

I would recommend that readers of this article turn to WHWL 95.7 FM and listen to the 25 minute program, “Science, Scripture & Salvation.” It is an excellent presentation and is broadcast at 6:30 in the morning M-F and at 2:30 in the afternoon on Sunday. I guarantee you will be enlightened by the excellent information contained in these programs.

I serve a God who is omnipotent (has infinite power), omnipresent (is present everywhere), omniscient (possesses infinite knowledge). These attributes apply only to the one true God, not to any other gods man idolizes, nor any other inanimate object, especially science.
