MSHS commencement an amazing experience

To the Journal editor:

Hats off to Marquette Senior High School commencement!

At first, I feared being turned away but the gym comfortably accommodated all attendees.

The MSHS band under the Director Dr. Matthew Ludwig was “superb.” The graduating chorale group directed by Janet Brodersen amazing.

Our little town of Marquette is so fortunate to have these talented instructors. Thought as I listened, New York can’t top this.

Speakers all had a directive message and presented enough humor to hold the attention of the graduates and attendees. Mr. William Saunders, Superintendent included a “thank you” to the local taxpayers for backing needed building improvements. That was nice.

All in all my personal feeling of this commencement and graduation of my youngest grandchild was a wonderful experience.

Lastly, Mrs. Lesley Addison, Marquette Area Public School Teacher of the Year, said and I quote, “Being kind better than wisdom.” Excellent advice to these graduates and all.

In conclusion, wishes for safety, work hard, happiness and good luck in the future for the Class of 2018.

Thank you Marquette Senior High School.
