Trump’s judgment day is approaching
To the Journal editor:
When I was in second grade, I had a wonderful Sunday school teacher named Mrs. Williams. She taught me most of the 10 Commandments so I learned very early in life that I should never lie (bear false witness). When it was a bit more age appropriate, other Sunday school teachers taught me that I should never commit adultery. Donald Trump must have been absent on the days they covered these commandments at his church.
To help keep me on the straight and narrow, I was also taught there would be a fearful judgment day. This helped me navigate the rough and stormy waters of temptation. However, I must admit that my compass has been lost at sea a few times over the years.
Methinks that Donald Trump, and all the Evangelicals who still support and defend him, might be facing a rather “stormy” judgment day of their own. This judgment may prove as frightening as “Daniel’s episode” in the lion’s den.
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
