Election quandary

To the Journal editor:

I need your help. I am trying to understand why anybody would vote for a politician who will say or do anything to get elected.

As an example, I will not vote for Donald Trump because he makes statements meant to make headlines and make for “reality” TV, which props up his support.

I also will not vote for Hillary Clinton in 2016 because I believe she lied about Benghazi for their own personal benefit.

Similarly, President Obama drew a red line in the sand with Syria and didn’t follow through with his promise. He also promised no American boots on the ground in Syria and now changes the language he uses to say that we won’t have front line combat forces versus “boots on the ground!”

There are others running for President that I won’t vote for such as Jeb Bush, George Pataki and Lyndsey Graham, (all living in the past); Bernie Sanders (an avowed Socialist); Martin O’Malley (failed as Baltimore Mayor and Maryland Governor). What does that leave us??

Watch the debates, read multiple sources and make up your own mind over the next several months as both parties focus in on their nominees.

It’s a shame that a good man like Vice President Joe Biden has decided not to run because at least he is honest, trustworthy and does not believe that his worse enemies are Republicans as Hillary does.

There are many talented options such as Ben Carson, Marco Rubio and Carly Fiorina that are honest and trustworthy and have started their young adult lives at the low end of the economic chain and through education and hard work have been able to achieve remarkable success! I don’t know about you but that is the type of person that I want as my next president of the United States.

By the way, the three candidates happen to be black, Hispanic and female! The irony in that is the Republicans are like who the Democrats profess to be and the Democrats are who the Democrats criticize Republicans for pretending to be, old and white.
