Time to crack down

It saddens me to see what is going on in the great Upper Peninsula. The growing problem of all the people making meth up here is terrible.

In today’s Mining Journal it said 50 meth labs bused in the U.P. since January and this is only June. That’s five months, people. First thing I have to say to you meth makers and users is, are you nuts? You’re using Drano, my God that cleans drains of crud. Then you add thinner, that is used for stripping paint or thin paint. Hello meth head!! This stuff is eating you away from the inside out. Are you that stupid?

To put this crap in your body is just insane. The people in our law office need to do something and do it now. These people making this stuff are getting slaps on the hands from our court system. They need to quit making plea deals.

Enough of the slaps on the hands. Our courts need to make an example of anybody who makes or gets caught with this crap. Last winter the biggest meth bust in Marquette County history was made. One person got 93 days in jail and the other I think was 1 to 3 years. Why did they get so little? That’s all I ever see or hear. 30 days, 60 days, 120 days. Big deal.

We need stiffer times. Not jail. Send them to prison for 20 or more years. Get these people off our streets. Make a statement on the first-time offenders. Send they away for 3 or 5 or more. It’s just not gonna get better up here unless our court system does something about it.

No more deals, no more light sentences. Please get these idiots off our streets. Maybe it will save their life or better yet maybe it will keep my grandbabies or my son, or maybe everybody’s that’s reading this kids or grandkids safe.

Enough is enough. Get these people off the streets. Myself, I have zero respect for any of you meth heads or makers. How can anybody respect anybody who doesn’t respect themselves? I do. Hope all the fine people in the U.P. and Marquette County feel the same as I do. I’d like to hear from others about this problem we have. So whatcha all think? Lock them up for a long time or what?
