Christians attacked

To the Journal editor:

I was very disturbed when I watched the news today. It said there are over 320 Christians murdered every day. Christians are the most persecuted religious group in the world today.

Christianity was a faith born out of persecution. ISIS is wiping out Christians in the Middle East. Many people blame religion for all the world’s troubles. It is man’s quest for power territory that causes wars.

We must remember that during the last century, over half the world was controlled by atheistic communist regimes and fascist and millions of people were killed.

What really bothers me is that in this country Christians are attacked verbally and offensive comments are directed toward them in social media.

The government threatens our religious liberties. Christians are accused of pushing their faith on to people when they stand up for their principles and go against popular culture. Our country was founded on Judeo-Christian principles.

We need to be aware of what is going on in the world today. We cannot let history repeat itself. After World War II, mankind hoped this kind of thing would not happen again.
