Give Obama break

To the Journal editor:

All things mentioned (in this letter) are my opinion. Readers should do their own investigation.

First, look at what President Obama started with. An economy that was losing over 700,000 jobs a month. A banking system that was in melt down. Two unfunded wars, and Republican leaders meeting during the President’s first inauguration to draw up a strategy that would destroy the Obama presidency with complete disregard to what it would do to the U.S. Economy and average U.S. Citizen.

During Obama’s presidency, the fact that the Republicans in the Senate have filibustered more than any other Senate and both the House and Senate have held the fewest sessions in history; you start seeing the obstacles the president is enduring and still having success.

First Obama was successful in helping pass comprehensive health legislation. Others tried; all failed.

The economy is on the mend. Republicans have refused to pass the president’s jobs bill, stimulus bills and intra-structure projects. And still the economy is growing, even though it is at a slower rate than normal.

No wars have been declared, we are out of Iraq, and we are getting out of Afghanistan. For those who think ISIS is Obama’s fault and he should have gone into Syria and eliminated ISIS remember Obama said he was ready to go into Syria but the Legislature would be asked to (approve it) give their blessing.

As we all know the blow-hards chicken hawks in the house refused to give their blessing. Still Republicans are saying Obama has not done enough to stop ISIS when it was in Syria. Talk about a bunch of hypocrites.

In conclusion overall Obama has done a good job.

I have not heard a single new idea from Republicans. All I hear is taxes too high, regulations too many and if the rich get a tax break it will trickle down. To believe any of this you would have to think 2007 and 2008 the last two years of the Bush administration were great.

You would have to believe that getting rid of ACA (Obamacare) and letting insurance companies decide our health care would solve all health care problems.

That the hawks such as McCain who have never seen a conflict they wouldn’t send U.S. troops to, will never have any influence. All of you who will blindly vote Republican I pray I am wrong.
