Beauty cited
To the Journal editor:
I appreciated the story about the women who maintain the gardens at Park Cemetery in Marquette.
I chose my husband’s plot in early spring so I didn’t know there was a beautiful garden that would come to life right near his grave.
As it turns out, I am one of the people who find it very comforting to sit on the bench at the edge of the flower garden and enjoy the peacefulness of the surroundings.
I would like to thank Jeannette Hauver and her assistants, Andrea Forsberg, Patti Spengler and Julie Schweppe, for all their work maintaining the gardens.
Thanks to the city also for doing a great job watering the grass and flowers, cutting the grass and even trimming around the headstones.
