Pellow bids farewell

To the Journal editor:

I want to thank the citizens of Marquette County for allowing me to represent them on the Marquette County Board of Commissioners for 10 years and the citizens of Tilden Township for allowing me to represent them for 16 years. It has been a privilege and something I will always treasure.

I have tried to make decisions in the best interest of Marquette County and I hope I have contributed in a small way to the overall success of the county. I am proud that Marquette County is recognized as a leader amongst Michigan counties.

I have decided not to seek re-election, but I leave Marquette County in good hands. I support Bill Nordeen for my district. Bill has been on the Marquette County Board in the past and has the experience, knowledge, and integrity to lead Marquette County into the future. I have the utmost faith in Bill Nordeen and the decisions he will make for the people of Marquette County.

I also endorse commissioners Bruce Heikkila and Steve Pence for re-election. Bruce and Steve are an essential part of the county board. They have made the tough decisions that have improved the county.

Again, thank you for allowing me to represent Marquette County and I wish the county well going forward.

Debbie Pellow, commissoner

Marquette County District 5
