Negaunee’s Tinseltown a great family event

One of the Marquette area’s most beloved holiday events, the Tinseltown 2024 holiday celebration, will return to downtown Negaunee from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14.

This family friendly event will officially kick off the holiday season with activities including a Christmas parade, tree-lighting ceremony, downtown holiday caroling, music, wine tasting at the VFW, hay rides, a craft show, Santa at the Elks and miniature horse rides.

Also, this year will feature the all-new Gingerbread Lane attraction — a lighting and gingerbread village display along Rail Street, according to the city of Negaunee website — sponsored by Honor Credit Union, Cattron’s Lumber, Meister’s Farms and the Negaunee Downtown Development Authority.

Beyond all of the family friendly fun, adult attendees will be able to enjoy some beverages of their choice at the Negaunee Social District on Iron Street, where vendors will have warm alcoholic beverages for sale.

Negaunee’s Immanuel Lutheran Church, at 520 U.S. 41 East, will hold a Christmas market from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. also on December 14. A soup and pie lunch will be available for $5. Holiday crafts will be featured at the market.

With only a little over one week to go, we highly suggest making your plans early to visit Negaunee for one of Superiorland’s great winter traditions.

A full list of events and times can be found on Facebook on the Tinseltown 2024 page.

We hope to see you there.

Starting at $4.62/week.
