Don’t let your voice go unheard

Voters here in Michigan have a significant decision to make today at the ballot box. Don’t let your voice go unheard as the state is a key battleground in the 2024 presidential election.

Consider: Donald Trump finished his campaigning on Monday with a rally at Grand Rapids. His vice presidential candidate, JD Vance, was in Flint earlier Monday. And Kamala Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, closed his evening with supporters at Detroit.

This much is clear: Michigan will be a difference-maker in this election. That means it’s imperative to vote. Don’t let your voice go unheard. That’s happened far too often in the past.

During the 2022 general election, just 4.5 million of Michigan’s 7.9 million registered voters cast a ballot — 56%. And during the 2020 general election, voter turnout statewide in Michigan was nearly 71%. A total of 5.6 million ballots were cast of the 7.9 million registered voters. That’s good — but it also means millions of Michigan residents did not vote!

The stakes are too high for us not to do better.

We would advocate for every eligible voter to get out and do their civic duty and vote. It’s really that simple. If you are a registered voter and haven’t already done so, vote. Today.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Remember to take your ID.

It starts with you. Vote.
