GINCC to recognize outstanding west end people, businesses

Tonight at the Wawonowin Country Club in Champion, the Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce is set to hold its annual awards gala, which will recognize some of the west end’s most outstanding people and businesses of 2019.

“There were many nominations submitted this year,” said Bob Hendrickson, executive director of the GINCC, in a press release. “Many deserving businesses, organizations and people. What it came down to is these awards are given based on a handful of standout reasons, but really they reflect how dedicated and giving the entire community is to making the west end of Marquette County a great place to live and work.”

The 2019 award winners are:

≤ Chamber Member of the Year: Gauthier Insurance

≤ Business of the Year: mBank

≤ Organization of the Year: Great Lakes Recovery Centers

≤ Business Person of the Year: Greg Toutant

≤ Volunteer of the Year: Linda Andriacchi

We would like to commend the winners for receiving this recognition, and thank them for their efforts in making the west end a better place. Your hard work has not gone unnoticed. For those who were nominated and came up short — keep doing what you are doing, and your day will come. The west end is grateful to have all of you.

Tickets are still available for $45 for individuals, $75 for a couple and a table of six is $225.
