MARQUETTE, MI - Kenneth Lee DePetro, age 75, of Marquette, passed away at his home on October 30, 2026.
Kenneth was born in Marquette on June 4, 1951, to Henry and Dorothy (Hebert) DePetro. He was raised in Marquette and Ishpeming.
On June 27, 1970, Kenneth married the love of his life, Natalie Beaudry. Together, they built a life and raised their family in Marquette.
After completing his education, Kenneth was drafted into the United States Army, where he proudly served his country for two years as a mechanic. Following his honorable discharge, he continued his career as a mechanic, working for Bunny Bread which later became Sara Lee until his retirement.
Kenneth was a genuine, loyal, and hardworking man whose greatest pride was his family. He was the rock of the family, someone his loved ones could always count on. A loving son, devoted father, proud grandfather, and caring brother, he held a special place in the hearts of those who knew him. His faith was also an important part of his life, and he was an active member of St. Christopher Catholic Church.
In his younger years, Kenneth enjoyed drag racing drag bikes. Over the years, he developed a love for hunting, fishing, and camping. His true passion, however, was playing pool, something he greatly enjoyed. He also loved watching sports and was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan. And, of course, Kenneth had a special fondness for Las Vegas and enjoyed his time there.
Above all, Kenneth will be remembered for his genuine nature, his loyalty, his love for his family, and the quiet strength he brought to those around him. He was a good man with a strong faith, a big heart, and a presence that will be deeply missed. Though his family and friends will miss him beyond words, the memories he leaves behind will forever remain in their hearts.
Kenneth is survived by his father, Henry DePetro; his children, Angela Christodoulou of Syracuse, New York, and Kenneth DePetro of Green Bay, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Anthony, April, Ava, and Alex Christodoulou; his siblings, Dale (Linda) DePetro, Pat (Sharon) DePetro, Donna (Gil) Perry, and Cheryl (Bruce) Schultz; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy DePetro; his brothers, Gary DePetro and his twin brother, Terry DePetro; and his grandson, Dylan DePetro.
Visitation will take place on Monday, November 9, 2026, at St. Christopher Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 p.m., with Fr. Dan Moll presiding. A luncheon will follow the mass in the church hall. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
