MARQUETTE, MI – Diane Maria Bastone (nee Fedkoe), 82, originally of Pittsburgh, PA, lately of Marquette, MI passed away under care at Mill Creek Memory Care on August 15, 2026.
Diane was born in Pittsburgh's South Hills to Marion (nee Kelly) and Walter Fedkoe. She attended school at St. Canice before studying Social Work at Steubenville University and later the University of Pittsburgh. She went on to have a long career in social work with the Veteran's Administration Hospital on Highland Drive.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, brother Tom, sister Mary Ann, and husband James M. Bastone.
She is survived by her brother James (Mary Francis) Gunshall, daughters Kelly (Ben Russell) Bastone and Amy (Brian Kudej) Bastone Kudej, and grandchildren Oliver Kudej, Etta Kudej, and Simone Bastone-Russell.
Funeral services were held on Friday August 28th at Brusco Falvo Funeral Home, 214 Virginia Avenue in Mt. Washington, PA and at St. Mary of the Mount on Saturday the 29th.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend time laughing, singing, or telling stories with a friend. Diane would approve.
