MARQUETTE, MI – Darlene Sharon Gregorich, age 74, of Marquette, passed away peacefully at Norlite Nursing Center in Marquette on September 24, 2026. She was born in Marquette on December 7, 1951, the daughter of George and Verita (LaPorte) Rose, and was raised in Marquette.
Darlene married and devoted herself to raising her family in Marquette. She later began a career with AT&T, where she worked as a telephone operator for more than 20 years before retiring.
Darlene enjoyed many things throughout her life. In her younger years, she loved bowling and spending time at the beach. Most of all, she treasured time with her children and grandchildren and adored her nieces and nephews. Darlene was quick-witted and had a wonderful gift for conversation. She was someone you could talk with for hours, and everyone who met her was drawn to her warm personality and genuine nature. She will be remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Darlene is survived by her son, Andy (Barb) Gregorich Jr. of Colorado; grandchildren, Drew Gregorich of Texas and Payton Gregorich of Colorado; siblings, Martin (Sandy) Rose of Marquette, Linda Thiel of Marquette, and Georgette (Rich) Greet of Marquette; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her son, Jon Gregorich; sister, Christine Olson; and brother-in-law, Greg Thiel.
In keeping with Darlene's wishes, no public services will be held.
