SHEBOYGAN, WI – Robert Karl Maki, 73 years old, passed away July 12, 2026, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He was born September 30, 1953, to Aile and Raymond Maki in Ishpeming, Michigan.
“Moe,” as he was known, had several jobs during his life. He served in the U.S. Army, was proud to be an American and definitely let everyone know of his Finnish heritage-- SISU! He was a 1972 graduate of Ishpeming High School.
He was a dreamer and had quite a portfolio of lyrics, hoping to catch a break where someone would possibly be interested. He even went to Nashville, was always turned down, but certainly wasn’t going to give up, always hoping someday-- SISU! An avid Green Bay Packer fan, loved animals, and any history show.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents Aile and Raymond Maki along with his brother Mark.
Survived by his siblings: Connie Maki of Superior, WI, Rodney (Sandy) McCall of Sheboygan, WI, Sue (Charles) Boogren of Clio, MI, Ray Maki of Escanaba, MI, Chris Barrett of Ishpeming, MI, Claire (Owen) Carter of Royal Oak, MI, and numerous nieces and nephews.
