MARQUETTE, MI- Reino Albert Linne, 93, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, August 3, 2026, while in the care of UP Home Health and Hospice.
Born February 15, 1933, in Shingleton, MI, he lived his life defined by service, skill, and deep devotion to his family and faith. He was a retired master electrician and electrical engineer by trade. He graduated from NMU with a bachelor's degree in business. For 30 years he volunteered with the local EMS and spent 27 years as a lineman for WI MI Power Company. Reino was on the school board for 12 years and a Lions Club member too.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Vera Erickson; his father, William Linne; and his wife, Shirley; along with five brothers and two sisters.
He leaves behind his daughter, Sue Listerman; his grandsons, Jason and Ryan Hamel, Talon and Riley Hamel; along with numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Reino rode his bike with his wife Shirley all over the country and Mexico. During the summer he traveled all over Europe, Egypt, Jamaica, and Hawaii. He also built his two houses, his log cabin and several garages along the way.
Family and friends are invited to join us at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Champion, MI. A memorial mass will follow at 12:00 p.m. noon and a luncheon will be held in the church hall immediately following mass.
