PALMER, MI – Kathleen Ann Conklin, 64, of Palmer, passed away peacefully Friday, August 14, 2026 at UPHS - Marquette surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Kathy was born September 23, 1961 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to John and Yolanda (Purnell) DeMolen and graduated from Newberry High School, Class of 1979.
Kathy was the most loving and caring wife to Robbie, and the best mother to Justin a son could ever have. She was a fun-loving person who was a joy to be around and she loved being around those who loved her, especially her grandson, Julian. Kathy enjoyed traveling and seeing new things. She spent 40 years of her life operating Marigold AFC Home in Palmer, Michigan. Her unmatched love, care and compassion changed the lives of those she cared for throughout her career.
Kathy is survived by her husband Robbie; her son, Justin (Candice); one grandson, Julian; one brother, Kevin(Dawn); Aunts: Nancy, Barb, and Kay; her Uncle John; In-laws: Gary (Bonnie), Tigger (Linda), Tim, Allen (Becky), and Taunya; and several nephews, and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Howard; and two uncles: Paul and Lloyd.
