EAGAN, MN – Jill Bocklund Hughes, née Anderson, passed peacefully into eternal life on July 28, 2026 at the age of 90. Jill was born in Marquette, Michigan, on April 10, 1936. A complete obituary was published on August 3, 2026 and can be found at the Mining Journal's website.
A Gratefulness Gathering celebrating the life of Jill Bocklund Hughes will be held on Friday, August 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church in Marquette Michigan. Jill's large and loving circle of friends and family in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan are invited to honor the many gifts she brought to those she touched. A luncheon will be provided.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts in memoriam to be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Burnsville, MN, or the Mission Outpost Ministry at Prince of Peace, which Jill supported with many loving hours of volunteer work. Jill’s ashes will be interred at Park Cemetery in Marquette at a future date in a private family ceremony.
