Trudy Taskila
NEGAUNEE, MI – Trudy Gaye Taskila, 79, of Negaunee, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, July 2nd, 2026 in the care of her loving family and UP Home Health & Hospice.
Trudy was born October 2, 1946 in Ishpeming to Russell and Stella (Olson) Pascoe and was a proud graduate of Negaunee High School, class of 1965. Following graduation, she earned her LPN degree from Northern Michigan University.
Trudy began her career working over 20 years at the DJ Jacobetti Home for Veterans. She then worked for Dr. Wayne Carlson and Dr. Michael Grossman in Negaunee. Trudy enjoyed everything homemaking; knitting, crocheting, painting, cooking, baking and caring for the home. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her three sons: Kevin (Michelle) Taskila of Florida, Kirk Taskila of Lansing, and Kristopher (Pam) Taskila of Georgia; grandchildren: Todd (MaLynda) Taskila, Chelsea (Jeff) Marta, Marissa Taskila, Analiese and Tanner Meneguzzo; great-grandchildren: Tucker, Tia, Bo, Joey and Lily; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in Gary in 2022; and her brother, Terry Pascoe.
Honoring Trudy’s wishes, no public services will be held. Interment will take place in the Negaunee Cemetery.
