ELY TWP, MI – Tracey L. Alderman, 65, of Ely Township, passed away in the care of her loving husband early Sunday morning, July 19, 2026 at UP Health System in Marquette following a brief illness.
Tracey was born June 26, 1961 in Ishpeming to Harold and Bernice (Cox) Trewhella and grew up in Palmer and Negaunee. She met David Alderman on a blind date while he was serving in the Air Force at KI Sawyer and they were married in 1989. They lived in Columbia, South Carolina for 25 years before moving back to the UP.
Tracey was an animal lover; she enjoyed horseback riding and loving on her pet dog, Charlee.
Surviving are her husband of 37 years, David; her sister, Janice Jo Trewhella of Cary, North Carolina; brother, Harold (Sharon) Trewhella of Palmer; and several dear aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Karen Jacobetti.
Honoring Tracey’s wishes, private family services will be held.
