Russell Paul Lambert

Born on November 14, 1959 in Marquette, Michigan, the son of William Mack Lambert & Ruth Murk. Russell lived in Marquette, Skandia, Texas & Newberry before returning to Marquette and attending Northern Michigan University.

Russ worked many jobs before finding the career he enjoyed the most. As a head custodian at Bothwell Middle School he maintained, cleaned, organized and cared for the building with great pride and also made lasting friendships with his work family.

Russ enjoyed many things with the love of his life, long rides on the back roads, pizza Fridays, watching movies and cooking their favorite meals together. He always greeted her when she walked in the room or when he came home from work with a “hey baby”.

Over the years Russell spent time remodeling his camper and decorating it with his blue mason jar collection. He also loved spending time there and having good conversation and a cigar with his nephew Craigg.

Russell will always be remembered for his kindness, quick wit and the strength he showed us during his illness “Every day is worth it when I get to have my family around me.

Russell is survived by his devoted wife, Sharon, son Adam (Lindsay)Johnson, Cherished Step Daughter; Andrea (Jerry) Childers and step son; Ron (Alyssa) Haynes. brothers, William Lambert, David Brisson, Richard Lambert, sisters Kerry (Duane) Lambert, Ginger (John) Mikaloew, Sue (Scott) Pyykola, Anna Porter, Dawn Lambert and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Theresa Lambert, sister Shelley Lambert, brother Brian Lambert, niece Kari Socia, nephew William Socia, great nephew Reese McNamara.

Honoring Russell’s request no public services will be held.
