Linda Louise Williams

MARQUETTE, MI – It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Linda Louise Williams (Poisson), of Marquette, Michigan on July 3, 2026 at the age of 80. She spent her last days at home surrounded by her adoring family.

Linda was born in Daggett, Michigan as the eldest daughter of 12 children and often found herself fussing over her younger siblings and helping to tidy the house. She graduated from Powers High School in 1963 and went on to attend cosmetology school and graduated in 1965.

She worked on the Sawyer Air Base, Mackinac Island in the summers and in a number of salons in the area. In retirement, Linda found new life summering in Florida for 13 years with her beloved husband. Time was spent quilting and Swedish weaving, hunting sea shells, and remaining active in her faith as a devout follower of the Catholic Church. She proudly maintained her status at St. Peter Cathedral with regular attendance and 3am Adoration hours when they were in the area. There was nothing Linda loved more than ice cream and a ride around Presque Isle.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Michalene (Joshua) Cromell and Andrew (Makayla) Williams; step-son, Jeffrey (Tiffanie) Williams; grandchildren, Ashley (James) Airaudi, Katelyn Patnode, Jacob Cromell, Chelsea Williams, Evan Williams, Cali Cromell and Daniel Williams; her great-grandchildren, Elijah, Taliyah, Darrius, Makenna, Marilyn, Oliver and Rev; and surviving siblings, Lenord, Loretta, Laureen, Louis Jr., and Lana.

She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Martin Williams; son, Matthew Williams; siblings, Larry, Lee, Les, Louanne, Loren, and Lisa; and parents, Marian Poisson-Jenkins and Louis Poisson.

The family deeply appreciates Linda, Elizabeth, and Lake Superior Hospice for their loving care.
