Karen Saari Dodge

BOYNTON BEACH, FL – It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Karen Saari Dodge.

Karen was born on September 3,1962 in Marquette, Michigan to Donald and Marilyn Saari. Karen graduated from Marquette Senior High School. While in school she loved cross country skiing and gymnastics.

Karen later moved to Florida and continued her education, earning an AA degree from

Palm Beach Community College in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Throughout her career she worked in many hotels and restaurants. Her final work place was Bethesda East Hospital in the Medical Records department.

Karen loved the outdoors. Some of her best memories were camping and boating with her husband, David Dodge (deceased). Karen and David both loved spending time on the water in the Keys.

Karen is survived by Siblings: Diane Maher of West Palm Beach, FL; Debra Blanchard of Lake Worth, Florida; Mark Saari of Shorewood, WI; Sister-in-Law Rachel Saari; Nieces and Nephews, Amberly Blanchard, Samantha Maher, Kimberly Maher; Logan Blanchard, and Luke Saari.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 9th at 2:00 PM at Dorsey – E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Lake Worth, Florida. Karen's final resting place will be at Park Cemetery in Marquette, Michigan. Karen always felt Marquette was her home. Buriel will be at Monday August 3rd at 1:30PM
