Pauline Grace Price

LOVES PARK, IL – Pauline Grace Price, age 85, of Loves Park, IL, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Ishpeming, MI on July 24, 1940 to Paul and Marie (Garceau) Austin. She married James “Jim” Price on December 27, 1958 and continued to be beloved soulmates for over 67 years. After Jim’s service in the United States Air Force, Pauline and Jim moved to Rockford, IL, where they continued to create an abundant life together. Their greatest pride and deepest love were their three daughters – Cheryl, Christine, and Jami – and watching their family tree grow for generations.

Pauline was an industrious soul and spent her career in various administrative and managerial roles within the greater Rockford area in addition to being an attentive homemaker. She adored spending her free time flower gardening, decorating and designing their home, and was a talented seamstress who was always up to date on the latest fashion of the time. Pauline’s love, care and compassion for her family and friends was unparalleled.

Pauline is survived by her husband, Jim; daughters, Cheryl (Dan) Haan, Christine (Royce) Monk, and Jami Thompson; grandchildren, Ashley (Carson) Haan, Nicole (Luke) Jones, Kristen Burlington, and Zen Thompson; great grandchildren, Collin (Olivia) Jones, Parker (Anna) Jones, Isabelle Jones, Austin Jones, Maverick Jones, and Elio MacLean, who will forever remember her doting heart, tenderhearted spirit and her infectious laugh. While her absence leaves a profound void, her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched with her kindness.

She is predeceased by her parents; and her brother and sister.
