Michelle Marie (McGann) Oswald

SAN ANTONIO,TX- Michelle Marie (McGann) Oswald, born on February 20, 1952, in Marquette, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on April 17, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas.

Michelle is survived by Richard Oswald, daughters Amy (Casey Sr) Campos and Nicole Ann Oswald, sister Kathleen (David) Marshall, several nephews, and a niece.

Michelle lived a life marked by kindness and steadfast care for those she loved. Her greatest calling was her two children with Richard, and she took immense pride in her role as a mother. Those who knew Michelle will remember her as someone who gave generously of herself and who found her deepest fulfillment in the happiness and well-being of her loved ones.

Among many other interests, Michelle found joy in supporting the Special Needs Ministry at the University Methodist Church with her sister, Kathy. For many years you could find them each week at bingo with her daughter, Nicole. Michelle was also a constant presence in her daughter Amy’s life, supporting and loving her unconditionally.

Her family and many dear friends will remember Michelle for her kind heart. The memories she created with her family and friends will continue to be treasured for years to come. Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured, the friendships she sustained, and the many lives she touched with her gentle and generous spirit.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and many dear friends. Though her passing leaves a profound emptiness, the example of her life will remain a source of comfort and inspiration. Michelle will be remembered with affection, gratitude, and enduring love by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Special Needs Ministry at the University Methodist Church (https://www.universitysatx.org/give). The family will receive guests and hold a Celebration of Life beginning at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 18, 2026, at Porter Loring Mortuary West (1710 West Loop 1604 North San Antonio, TX 78251).

A Committal Service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209) at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
