Josephine “Josie” A. Seglund

Visitation will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Parish Vigil Service will start at 7:00 p.m. and there will be an opportunity for friends and family to share comments and memories during that service. Josie’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart Church in Munising on Friday, June 5, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at the Maple Grove Cemetery immediately following Mass. There will also be a celebration of life from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Life on the Rocks located at 115 E. Munising Ave., Munising, MI 49862.

Until Parkinson’s made living on her own untenable, Josie was able to maintain her independence with the assistance of the Alger County Commission on Aging (ACCOA). The family is forever grateful for their kind and compassionate care, and hopes that others may utilize this amazing community resource. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, family suggest memorials in Josie’s name to ACCOA, 1604 Sand Point Rd., Munising, MI 49862.
