Jack Oliver Thurston
GWINN, MI – Jack Thurston, 91, passed away on May 27, 2026 at Michigan Veteran Homes- D.J. Jacobetti, where he had been a resident for two months.
Jack was born on May 21, 1935 to his parents, Roy and Julia (Micklow) Thurston in Gwinn, MI, where he was a lifelong resident.
Jack is survived by his loving partner, Mary L. Sneddon; his three daughters, Julie (Gustave Senkbeil), Jacklyn (Edward Moore) and Janet (Mike Ashby); grandchildren, Martin Olgren III, Matthew Olgren, Lydia (Paul) Robinson and Erik Asplund; great-grandchildren, Paulo Robinson and Jack Robinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Josephine (Willig) Thurston; wife, Lois (Ketola) Thurston; brothers, Paul Thurston and Roy “George” Thurston; and nephew, Roy A. Thurston.
Private services will be held at a later date.
