Carol J. Beck
CHAMPION, MI – Carol J. Beck, age 95, of Champion, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming.
Carol was born on August 28, 1930, in Hermansville, Michigan, to the late William and Esther (Bengtson) Laitinen. She made her home in Champion for more than 50 years.
Carol enjoyed painting, decorating cakes, crocheting, and creating driftwood art. She loved working with her hands and had a special talent for creating beautiful pieces.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Freng; and her grandson, Cory Freng.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Beck; her son, Kenneth Beck; and her parents, William and Esther Laitinen.
A private graveside service will be held at the Champion Township Cemetery.
