Betty J. Weller

She was born May 30, 1938, in Monroe, Michigan, a daughter of Paris and Lissie (Cain) Keck. She was raised in Monroe and attended the University of Michigan where she earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in education.

She was employed for many years as a teacher at the Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn.

Betty enjoyed bowling & golf and participated in league competition, she played pinochle once a week and joined friends for Tuesday morning breakfast at Leon’s. She loved to travel and take cruises with her husband, R. Hugh Weller.

She is survived by two children, Scott (Terri) Weller of Brown City, MI and Jill (Paul) Seibert of Marquette; grandchildren, Katie (Austin) Liebler, David Weller, John (Jess) Weller, Logan (Carley) Zueger, Garrett Zueger, Louis Lofton, Kerry Bannister, Lauren (Randy) Wendell and Morgan (Drew) Webber; great-grandchildren, Nova Liebler, Jack and Reese Wenzel; brother-in-law, Dennis Weller of Silver City, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Earl Keck, Sybil Lidster, Delores Gerber and Charlotte Lambert.

Private services will be held. Interment will take place in Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle Township, Michigan.
