Kathryn Lenore Gambsky
SHAWANO, WI – Kathryn Lenore Gambsky, age 76, of Shawano, passed away on Wednesday April 1, 2026, at her home.
Kathryn was born on April 30, 1949, in Madison to the late John and Madelyn (Friday) Siegert. She graduated from Madison West High School. Kathryn owned an antique store called “Kate’s Collectibles” in Ishpeming, Michigan, and was also a realtor in the Madison area. She enjoyed crafts, especially needle point.
On August 15, 2008, Kathryn was united in marriage to Alan Gambsky at the Church on the Hill in Shawano. It never failed – she faithfully took her two dogs “the kids”, Louie and Cindy for car rides twice a day. Kathryn was active in Civics, loved to travel and went on several cruises. She called her sister faithfully everyday just to say “hi” and “I love you”. Kathryn was a fantastic mother and a wonderful cook.
Kathryn is survived by her husband, Alan; children, David Berg, Matthew Berg, Brian Seehawer, Gina Seehawer, Mary Jo Gambsky and Robert Gambsky; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; “beloved” dogs, Louie and Cindy; and siblings, Nancy (Richard) Klatt and Barbara (Richard) Ofstie. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Kathryn is preceded in death by her late husband, Steven Berg; parents, John and Madelyn Siegert; nephew, Tommy Ofstie; Alan’s mother, Mary; a dear friend, Judy Klos. Throughout her lifetime, she also had many “beloved” dogs.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
